Licensed therapist · In-person & online/telehealth
Therapy that brings out the best parts of you.
I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I see clients in New Jersey in person or via telehealth, and in New York via telehealth. I'm in-network with Optum, Cigna, Aetna, and Meritain.

How I work
Trauma-informed care rooted in compassion.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Identifying unhelpful thought patterns and building practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, and everyday stressors. Often, the way we react to events and interpret them are driven by old narratives formed through earlier difficult experiences. CBT helps you notice and question those patterns, and replace them with more balanced and helpful thoughts. From there, we practice these skills in real-life situations until they become a new internal voice that supports you and points you toward the life you want.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Developing mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills to navigate intense feelings and relationships. A key concept in DBT is balancing acceptance and change. You will learn to meet yourself with compassion while working towards the changes that matter to you. DBT also offers stabilizing tools and strategies that can be easily adapted to manage life's different stressors. Practice materials are provided so you can work on these skills between sessions and build a full coping skills toolbox that you can reach for when things get hard. The goal is to eventually feel less at the mercy of your emotions and more able to respond the way you want to.
Internal Family Systems
Going deeper to understand the parts of yourself shaped by trauma and pain, fostering self-compassion and lasting healing. IFS offers a framework for engaging with your emotions from what IFS calls Self-energy: a calm, steady, and compassionate inner presence that calls the shots. You already have this presence inside you. The work is cultivating it. During IFS parts work, you will engage with parts of yourself that took on roles to protect you through a previous life stressor. We will work to cultivate a new role that works for you now and heal the painful experience underneath.

All reviews"Levi was my therapist for about 3 years, he is the best therapist I have ever experienced. I have made tremendous progress with my anxiety. I feel more grounded and overall happier as a person. He is very empathetic and caring and really wants to see you make progress. Nowadays it's hard to find a good therapist, and I felt very lucky to work with him. Highly recommend!!"
"I know choosing a therapist can be hard because you want to find someone that can understand you without judgement and easy to talk to. Words can't comprehend how amazing Levi is as a therapist. He's open and kind and most important understanding without judging. He's the best therapist I've ever had. Choosing him to be your therapist you will not be disappointed. His honesty and his prompt responses are remarkable."
"I met with Levi Miller via Zoom psychotherapy for about 1 year and 8 months in total. Levi is very professional and skilled as a therapist. He has helped me in a very significant way, to help me deal with several long-standing issues and challenges (e.g. forgiveness, anxiety, how to be assertive). He is very empathetic, and utilizes effective exercises to reinforce therapy concepts discussed. I would highly recommend him as a therapist."
